Initiation Day 2026: A Cherished Beginning to the Journey of Learning St. Therese English Medium School, Ayamkudy, joyfully welcomed its newest members through the celebration of Initiation Day 2026 on June 3. The event marked the formal commencement of the academic journey of our LKG students and was conducted in an atmosphere of warmth, enthusiasm, and celebration. School Manager Rev. Br. Shaji Vazheparambil, Administrator and Vice Principal Rev. Br. Martin Menachery, Principal Mr. Sojo Abraham, members of the school management, teachers, and parents joined together to make the occasion memorable for our little learners. The highlight of the programme was the traditional Akshara Ezhuthu (First Writing Ceremony), during which Rev. Brothers, along with Mrs. Tintu Sunil, Mother PTA Representative, guided the children in writing their first letters on rice. This meaningful ceremony symbolized the children's initiation into the world of learning and knowledge. The young learners were warmly received with gifts and sweets, adding to the joy of the occasion and making their first day at school truly special. The celebration reflected the school's commitment to providing a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, and flourish from the very first step of their educational journey.
A Joyous Beginning to the Academic Year 2026–27 The corridors of St. Therese English Medium School once again echoed with laughter, excitement, and renewed enthusiasm as the school reopened for the Academic Year 2026–27 on June 1, 2026. The school community came together to celebrate the occasion with a grand Opening Ceremony themed “New Beginnings, Endless Possibilities,” marking the start of another promising year of learning and growth. The programme commenced with a prayer song by the School Choir, invoking God's blessings upon the new academic year. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Mr. Sojo Abraham, Principal, who encouraged students to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the year ahead with confidence and determination. A vibrant welcome dance presented by the students of Class IX added colour and joy to the celebration. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries symbolized the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. The presidential address was delivered by Rev. Br. Shaji Vazheparambil, Manager, who inspired the students to strive for excellence in both academics and character. The programme also included a special session welcoming the new teachers who have joined the St. Therese family this academic year. The gathering was further enriched by the felicitations offered by Rev. Fr. Thomas Chillackal, Vicar of St. Theresa’s Church, Malapuram, Ayamkudy, and Mr. Binumon Joseph, PTA President, who extended their best wishes to the students and staff for a successful and fruitful year ahead. Another graceful dance performance by the Class IX students added to the festive spirit of the occasion. A highlight of the celebration was the warm reception accorded to the students through the distribution of gifts and sweets, making their first day at school memorable and delightful. The thoughtful gesture brought smiles to the faces of the children and created a joyful atmosphere throughout the campus. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Daisy Mathew, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event, followed by the School Anthem. Honoring Decades of Dedication: A Heartfelt Farewell to Our Dearest Teachers With hearts full of both gratitude and a gentle sadness, the St. Therese English Medium School, Ayamkudy family gathered on 29 May 2026 to bid a warm and emotional farewell to three of our most cherished and beloved educators: Mrs. Saramma N M, Mrs. Jancy George, and Mrs. Ancy Mathew. They have been the very heartbeat of our classrooms, serving not just as teachers, but as secondary mothers, mentors, and guiding lights to generations of students. For years, their gentle patience, selfless dedication, and unwavering love have shaped the futures of countless children, leaving an indelible mark on the fabric of our school. We are deeply reminded of the timeless truth that a great teacher is hard to find, difficult to part with, and utterly impossible to forget. Though their daily presence, warm smiles, and comforting guidance will be deeply missed in our corridors, the wisdom they shared and the values they instilled will remain alive in our hearts forever. They step away from their blackboards having built a legacy of pure love and excellence. To meet these dynamic professional demands, St. Therese English Medium School, Ayamkudy, hosted an intensive professional development session on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. This training program highlights our institution’s unwavering commitment to continuous faculty enrichment, ensuring our teachers possess the leadership mindsets required to inspire today's students. The high-impact workshop, titled "Educators as Mindset Architects: Shaping Young Minds Beyond Classrooms," was conducted on behalf of Ratna Sagar P. Ltd.
